No need to worry, though, BB. According to the MAD thread, winter is coming. Again!:santa-emoji:

You tease!

Least the drizzle has gone, was still on the coast when I was in Lowestoft late morning through, so must be slowly clearing off into the sea.

"The MJO remains weak, with both the RMM-based and CPC velocity potential based indices reflecting low amplitude and no eastward progression.

There are indications of an eastward propagating enhanced convective envelope now over the Indian Ocean, but a remarkably strong Rossby wave is destructively interfering with this signal.

Anomalous lower-level westerlies over the east-central Pacific reflect a continued disruption of the La Niña background state.

Dynamical model MJO index forecasts depict a rapid strengthening MJO signal over the Indian Ocean during Week-1, as destructive interference with the Indian Ocean Rossby wave relaxes.

Following this Indian Ocean amplification, many dynamical model ensemble members depict eastward propagation to the Maritime Continent, with some forecasts bringing the signal to the West Pacific.

The MJO and Rossby wave activity may contribute to an uptick in tropical cyclone activity over the southern Indian Ocean and South Pacific."

"After progressing eastward across the Pacific, the amplitude of the RMM index diminished in mid-January and has remained weak ever since. Enhanced divergence over the far West Pacific and strong Rossby wave activity over the Indian Ocean are likely disrupting the intraseasonal signal.

Drizzly here this morning, managed to squeeze a whole 1.5mm out of it.

Breezy again now, 8c.

Interested to see the temp drop tomorrow as the rain moves through

Was expecting to get a good soaking on the morning dog walk, but thankfully rain a good way away, looks like its gonna be a wet day though, unfortunately making everything wet and muddy and yuk again, enjoyed the use of the fields this winter, unusual as they're normally under water for weeks on end, but it couldnt last.

The cold front crossing the Region has got a short, sharp squall line on the leading edge, and then following behind that, the main area of precipitation is showing some wet snow and sleet. Wow, we might see a soggy snow flake!

Netweather Extra Radar at 07.25 with the 'weather type' set off then on:

Nothing to take pictures of in the weather to be honest so it was about combining it with features of my bus journey so far, today

Yep, will be keeping an eye out after the cold front crosses our region to see if we can spot a soggy snowflake! This is what it has come down to, winter 21/22

Oh well bye bye nearly dry footpaths, back to square one, slippy mudfest!. Cold miserable rain, roll on bright warm spring sunshine, and fluffy white clouds and the scent of freshly mown grass…
