I don't think I've picked a great day for a BBQ, things have turned decidedly chilly in the brisk breeze and cloudy skies. At least it's still dry, although the showers are a little too close for comfort, sliding NW just to my South.

Turned better here about an hour ago with much more sun but can see clouds gathering over the hills again.

It's been glorious here today - if a tad breezy - even though the temp only says 15c the sun is strong now and it felt warm even in the strong breeze.  Tomorrow looking a bit naff, we'll most likely invite the rain to sit over us and die on it's feet after draining all it's energy and fireworks further south.

We didn't manage to avoid the rain, had a brief shower around an hour or so ago. The skies have now cleared somewhat to leave some evening sunshine. Tomorrow looking a bit of a washout, especially in Southern parts of the region.

Looking at the radar,  there's are light-ish shower coming from the South East. Better tell the other half as she's just put washing out.

Stayed dry all day here so far, grey skies out to South and East of Macc are slowly moving in.  Saw this cloud formation whilst walking to daughters gig in town, looked a bit lenticular.

A pleasant afternoon outside although it's quickly clouded over since 6pm, I had a few non-alcoholic bevvies whilst watching a couple of local bands at The Crossings beer garden and soon noticed the distinct chill in the air but at least I managed to make the most of the earlier sunshine having chased the Jubilee Buxton Spa Express all around the Peaks from Peak Dale, Buxton, and Furness Vale.

Not been a bad day today here. The morning was cloudy and breezy but the afternoon was mostly sunny, and it was another cool, sunny and breezy evening. Temp reached about 15/16°C. Currently 9°C.

Tommorow and Monday looks poor, overcast, outbreaks of rain and only 14/15°C, but the rest of next week doesn’t look too bad here, mixed and quite showery yes but some spells of sunshine at times, and temps 16-19°C which is fine by me.

Its not quite Kinder Scout as originally planned but I made the best of the weather regardless and headed out for a local stroll after the Jubilee Carnival was done, fingers crossed for more of the same tomorrow before Sunday's washout arrives.

Aye it’s a case of seeing how far north it gets and how many peoples outdoor plans it ruins.

can’t believe how strong and gusty the wind has been over the last 24 hours, a proper fence panel rattler here.

Raining steadily here and has been since before I got up. A great pity if this continues into this afternoon when I know many street parties are due to take place in the area. Must be a bit of a nightmare scenario for the organisers!

Light rain here, nothing heavy yet, but some intense echoes not far away on the radar. A predominantly damp/wet day likely here with the rain sitting in situ. Lightning activity has been sparse so far today across the UK by the looks of it, even down South.

It does rather look like the wet weather is going to hang around for much of today. At least the majority of the long bank holiday has been largely dry during daytime hours for most in the region.
