Judging by the Netweather radar it seems that the electrical activity is fizzling out as it heads into Lincolnshire, so Boston and Skegness may well just get heavy rain.

definitely isn’t, i’m seeing flashes every 5-10 seconds now from my north-east.. more then when it was overhead!

Not a bust here in Peterborough. Thunderstorm incoming now. Not that much lightning but it still counts.

Yeah, we just seem to be a bit too North on this occasion. Still early in Summer though. Might just even be as North as Peterborough by the looks of it

Some of the absolute garbage forecasts that get spouted on Twitter these days does make me chuckle! Thankfully this place still exists!

Forecasts really should be left to those in the know (ConvectiveWeather & Nick to name a couple)

Glad to see plenty of you guys seeing some epic lightning anyway!!

OMFG!! Who just said this was dying off?? Close CG with textbook gun shot thunder!! Whoop!

Me! Significantly reduced flashes here ATM. Hopefully it'll pep up.

Did see a great CG strike in the distance a second ago.

Reigate!

We got plenty of elevated lighting with some good displays. One thumping hit into the centre of the town (hopefully not striking Pizza Express), and three minutes of continuous lightning and rolling thunder at 11:33.

It's still rumbling on, but seems to be easing for the time being despite the bright bow echo to the east of us.

A good session at last, in the storm desert known as Reigate.

Classic looking Storm looks to be heading for me directly from the south rather than this one that passed just to the East.

Storm season still getting a better start than last year, I dont remember any storms last year even making it across the channel unless I'm wrong in that. Recall it mostly being home growns last year

Think the main part is moving up through East London, limiting me to only distant rumbles. Not seeing many flashes either for some reason

seems to be a lot easier to view the lightning once it’s cleared then beforehand?

barely a flash until it was very close by and then it went mental overhead, and ever since it’s moved away i’m seeing frequent lightning in the distance now.

also just heard a siren whiz past, unrelated to the weather i hope

We only managed one storm last year, and that consisted of about two flashes and one low rumble.. so already miles better for my locality

Driving rain here now with really quite strong winds - still fair bit of thunder and lightning

First thunderstorm in over a year, Mmost of the lightning wasn't close but I will take it.

We had a few last year but only short lived ones. Still some impressive moments though and some very close calls in terms of lightning strikes.  And it's only half way through May as well

Gone completely silent here now, though I managed to capture a few flashes, not great quality though.

The struggle is real.

although i’d love to see the flashing continue as the storms keep coming up and passing just east of me i sadly have to be up for work in 4 hours

good luck to those possibly in the firing line, and stay safe anyone still out chasing!
