Will wait for those classic Lincolnshire home grown storms, always wondered what makes Lincolnshire a hot spot. I'm sure someone explained the reason on here before

Just seen on Facebook that there has been lightning in Boston

Pretty intense lightning here, not much thunder tho.

Oh look, staggers into Norfolk and promptly dies the usual death.

Yawn.

It arrived here, rather high intensity with mainly CC and the odd CG mixed in, 10mins or so and now moved East and is now dieing down. Certainly worth staying up and the forecast was relatively spot on.

Sounds like it’s moved away now. Was quite a fun 10 or so minutes though, especially considering it’s only mid May.

Time to get some sleep I think!

Been watching lightning flashing from the storms in France, not much happening to my east as far as I can tell, may be an anvil covering lighting? Is the front still active.

Gust front coming through now, a roar of wind, and someone's tin can flying down the street.

What a storm that was! Not bad for the edge of the warning area. West Norfolk has not been a bad spot during the last two years, I’ve got to say!

Absolutely fantastic night for many. We got lucky for a change!

Well what a night! I'm glad I stuck to my thoughts of what was going to happen after assesing everything in the early evening. Left my bedroom windows wide open to be sure I'd wake up lol.

Had a really good batch of storms before midnight, pretty quickly moving but a decent amount of CG lightning and close by with some very basey and gun shot thunder.

Looking at strike displays it was no where near as bad as the south east corner, but considering what the latest forecasts had been saying along with the warning locations, still very good.

And the little cherry was waking up for work and seeing flashes of lightning while brushing my teeth thinking "was that really!!"

All in all very pleased and still all of summer to get through.

Bit of a close one earlier, the lightning was quite infrequent but did shoot orange sparks from a telephone pole out of shot on the left about 20 feet away. The surge must of travelled down the cable from the strike on the right side of the frame.

Luckily I was sheltering from the rain, 10 mins earlier I was outside the car with tripod setup.

That's absolutely unbelievable,great footage mate!!
