I’ve obtained a few since 2020, but yeah they’re harder to get than night ones

Torrential rain with hail mixed in, and very loud thunder, excellent

Reigate has its second storm of the year! Not a bad affair for a typical UK storm, 4:00pm.

Plenty of very visible 'forked' lightning, most around the cloud base and up. It even managed to assemble a patchy shelf cloud as it arrived and looked like there was a vague, lazy rotation in the structure, though I could be wrong.

An active cell, many flashes and lots of thunder.

Nothing to shout about but very satisfying to watch!

Saw some distant lightning earlier. Here's a stacked image of three frames

Thunder in Carnoustie, Eastern Scotland in the late afternoon.  Some torrential rain too.

We had a storm yesterday evening just after 8 O'clock with quite a bit of lightning and torrential rain. A very heavy shower has just passed through but was not electric. The sun is now shining brightly although it is still raining. Perhaps we will be lucky with another storm later this evening.

looks like earlier storms have joined together and have started coming across here, it's very dark but looks like any chance of lightning and thunder is low

A further two cells in London this afternoon/early evening.   I've had 5 thunderstorms today,  arguably the best I've experienced in a few hours probably since the late 90s, early 2000s.

This setup in June/July would be horrific.

Nice surprise earlier to hear thunder!

Torrential convective rain was the main feature, followed by hail.

At least the hosepipe ban is off the cards. For now.
