Glad someone speaks from the same hymn sheet.

Summer was crap for people who enjoy proper summer weather and long clear sunny spells.

I just elaborated a bit more, because we both know this summer was wonderful for those who hate sunshine and some nice summer warmth.

Your getting boring now pal, WE GET IT..... change the record now why don't you?

BTW Enjoy your holiday, i am sure some of us will 😉😂😂

Nope, you are not practicing what you are preaching because you are banging on about how crap you think the summer just gone was.  We get It!!!!!

I have to repeat myself, for those who appear to be deaf to any reason. Or in this case it would be blind.

Not as boring as hearing how good June was. I can’t remember how many times we need to be reminded about it lol.

Thanks, I will 👍

Will you stop banging on about June!

Lol it was the best June for years. We get it! But it wasn’t a good summer.

Lol no more stats please. I’ll be having nightmares.

How it feels counts a lot more than ‘stats’.

How it feels is entirely subjective, so effectively counts for nothing.

Comparing this summer with past summers which had good Junes but poor for the rest of the summer

Manchester Summer indices

1950 216

1957 216

1960 217

1970 235

2023 217

I haven't included 1940 because that had an August that was pretty dry.

No but seriously June was really nice, July was really awful and august was aggressively mediocre

I obviously also factor in storms when rating the summer as a whole and there were none - so for me it’s been a pretty crap summer personally.

Hopefully a week of nice weather to come before I buckle down for the next 8 months.

Maybe September will be sunny and warm, it’s looking promising, bbc and met office monthly forecast sounds promising, I must check netweather to see if they have updated their monthly forecast

Shall we have the rainfall stats now ?   just to demonstrate (with all facts on the table) what a shocker July and August were , or are we done now?

Netweather's latest monthly forecast also indicates a warm September, like most thoughts.

& for completeness, if I may,   here are the mean minimum temperature anomalies

& lets add the mean max temperature anomalies too

Now we can see all the stats on the table

As expected, those stats show that it was mainly mild overnight temps which held up the CET for July.

Sometimes I think it would be a good idea if we all got together in person and likely see that we are all nice people who would get along fine in reality! 😊

lol 🤣
CET does n't apply to my locale, for what its worth my equivalent of the 3 weather / climate stations used for modern CET measurements may as well be in Reykjavik, Oslo and Porto

I think we would have difficulty coming to an agreement on a suitable venue, given what an awesome diverse forum crew we have here 🧡 🤍 💛 💙
