Woohoo! I was incredibly lucky and spotted these beautiful Mammatus just now as they churned overhead.

Nice catch

Time lapse of the approach of the rain arriving below with gusty winds.

Lovely mammatus that @Hirudineposted, so perhaps those heading here shortly, maybe I'll be able to see them as well.

That was the cell that passed me very close to the southeast, heard rumbles from it.

We're currently under high cloud ahead of another band of showers, so I'm not predicting much here. On the South East where you are based, I can see you getting a few, maybe if that Bath Cell continues the strength it has now.

That looks a bit like a hook shaped storm which could form a tornado?

A bit of mammatus to my east on the backend of the showers albeit quite faint.

Couldn't see much here, unfortunately.

Do you think there's much risk of thunder now here - seems to be lots of lighter showers moving this way.

I think it's more like a bowing sector with a small rear inflow jet but not entirely sure.

Probably fairly low now wouldn't expect much.

Edit. Actually seems too persistent to be a small rear inflow jet. Essentially seems to be a small Supercell but can never be sure with UK radar.

I’d love to be proven wrong but I can’t see anything else for the Midlands now. Looks like there’s quite a sizeable dry slot too.

It just looks dry, windy and cloudy now.
