Ha ha. In the mid session break and its gone off in the distance because of course it has. Oh well. At least the cloud has gone mostly now allowing for surface latent heat release when it warms up later. Already seeing another distant shower and can bet you it'll pass through just before I'm let out. Actually looking like it could be quite a decent convective day here with perhaps a line of convergence.

Wouldn’t that just be so typical if that happens lol. It does look like you guys in particular have a good chance of seeing some potent showers and/or storms. Fingers crossed for you and others. Maybe a bit of a chance of something here as well. Will have to see.

Not holding immense hope for storms today here, but wouldn't mind a few more nice cloudscapes this afternoon. Good luck to all - seems to be a fair few heavy showers off the coast of Wales which (hopefully) will be the line that will produce some this afternoon as it moves eastwards.

They're passing over very fast and then the sun is coming out quickly. Great cloudscapes, an amazing day for watching the sky.

So many CBs about round here. Specially to the West and SouthWest.
Sun is out , so fingers crossed for a few cracks of thunder later.

Couple of passing showers in Acton and Shepherds Bush have given some decently gusty winds, maybe 35-40mph.

It's very bright here, hoping that the insolation can help with some potent cells.

It feels like anything moderately convective could drag some serious winds down

Yep we had two fairly close by in Kingsbridge an hour ago. Second one knocked the power out briefly.

From what I understand, the worst potential winds aren't due till later? Windy enough this morning!

Surprised that has actually produced some sferics, doesn't look special on radar.

Cirrus outflow beginning to be seen, ahead of that band of rain, possibly thundery just west of here moving towards my location.

Got the timelapse running, will see what I can catch.

Clouds so big I can’t fit it into even wide angle! Heard a few rumbles from this.
