I did mentioned about there is a storm season for this summer in contrast to last year heatwave. Because we are in the right condition the formation of quasi-linear convective system (QLCS) and/or Supercells in midlands to northern part of Great Britain.

I am keen to report from Durham that....nothing happened. I experienced a bust so bad, even the better bits of the bust were busted. Oh well.  It's raining now.

StormLoser's 'local high pressure' strikes again.  🫥

I can just about see the tops of a shower around Derby albeit fairly weak. Transitioning into the post frontal environment now, 23C with a dewpoint of 15C.

Hope those who got a storm enjoyed it, storms looked mad on radar. I literally kept missing everything by a few miles, hearing thunder here and there and that’s it 😐. There’s still rest of summer to go through at least.

That made me laugh 😂

I hope you get storms when you're back home.

I see a nice cheeky little bonus Cell is heading towards Basingstoke, I can see some nice cumulus building to the North of my location.

Just had a crack of thunder from it. The rain is horizontal in the wind

Looks like that's the end - the cell that produced a few rumbles over Newark fizzled as it approached Lincoln and produced a light shower, and another, much heavier, shower on its southern flank narrowly missed me to the east and wasn't electrified.  It's been a frustrating few days of storm watching, being a bit too far north on my birthday (22nd) and then being a bit too far south today, but I have captured some good cloud formations on the two days.

a pretty uneventful day up here again, we did have a heavy shower for about 20 mins but considering the hype about today it was yet another letdown.

It’s on the Southern extent of any activity which has kept producing sharp showers running SW-NE as the front has moved East since mid afternoon over Somerset.

Seems you have bad luck wherever you are. Maybe you should change your username to "StormWinner" instead of "StormLoser".

It might change your fortunes

Quite surprised there isn't more. That said. It's late in the day and earlier activity has probably sucked the life out of it.

I can confirm we had an unexpected torrential shower from that, only lasted 5 to 10mins.  No thunder, but nice to see.  Cooled significantly now

A Few interesting radar animations from today including the Bridlington splitting supercell.

and the winds really picked up here, when I was at work earlier out in the channel, the wind picked up gusting 27 knots, and I got soaked on CBYC 1, which is a Ribcraft 4.8m with 60hp Yamaha.
