This is the first winter snowfall I've seen since February 2021; all the others being in spring.

This looks like the main event and it's landing. Boom.

Edit glad my kids walk home from school, could be some problems for those further away, need to get up hill to get out of Dover.

South west London snow shield has been activated. Probably the most frustrating area of the south east to live in for snow. 🙂

Should see some in the next 30/40 mins looking at the radar .

If only it would settle...🤨

Yeah, ground is too warm and showers aren't heavy enough for long enough. Only hope is after dark for proper accumulation.

Yes same here in Lee, Lass.

Did think it would be mainly a Kentish affair.

Mmm, there are likely to be plenty of Kentimetres about, later!!

The only chance of seeing a flake here is probably on the confectionery section of the local supermarket…..

Best of luck for those getting snow today.

You never know, just had a couple of flakes in Somersham, literally  a couple that is.

Could you imagine how busy this thread would be if we had 6 inches? 😂

Flurry in luton. Most models suggested that the streamers would move inland as the cold are moves E-W This afternoon. Hoping for a surprise the evening, especially with there being more precipitation than modeled and met office has me for 3 hours of light snow from 4-7 but not too sure 🧐

Current view of the radar and its pink blobs either side of the Thames, the green sandwiched between the pink practically follows the shape of the river. making me wonder if temps along the thames are too high  and its like a reverse thames streamer

Snow should be with you in an hour or so judging by the radar

Genuine heavy snow here, heaviest I've seen in a while but I'm in Geography class at the moment.
