Off topic, but I just got back from northants, Ecton nr Northampton to be accurate, and there was still nearly 8 inches of laying snow this morning...remarkable!

Having a party at the World's End in Ecton in few weeks time. Nice village, about 10 miles from here.

Lance Northants said he expected bucket loads of snow from it, thats why I said that.

It's not just the GFS saying it's further North though, ECM agreed with GFS, in fact ECM placed it even further North.

UKMO 12z further N than GFS now...

Yes indeed can confirm h.snow and settling.

Flakes not as big here now, still falling though, more of a sleety mix, Depending on who to believe I was forecast 0.85mm of sleet here for between ow and 18:00 where it goes upto 2.2mm of Icy Rain.

What to believe I dont know. Any clue me up on what is forecast for us tonight in terms of duration of this?

Just started to snow here, seems like it took forever to reach me from Birmingham! Didn't really rain or sleet before the snow, was pretty dry and now the snow has started, it's just in time for when it gets dark aswell, so I can watch it from the lampost lol.
