What to believe I dont know. Any clue me up on what is forecast for us tonight in terms of duration of this?

Here is the latest NW Radar for WR8 snowhope - your area I believe. Might not last too much but heavier echos near you.

massive bits of snow falling here now, could do with it staying like this to give everywhere a covering.

Having a party at the World's End in Ecton in few weeks time. Nice village, about 10 miles from here.

Just a couple of miles from here. Still got over 5 inches of lying snow here.

I knew it was a mistake to clear drives and paths yesterday.

As much as I love the snow I have a business, staff etc to organise and could do with it just missing here. Tha's done it !!!! Expect Northants to now be completely buried, trees down, electric off etc etc.

Is anyone else noticing the panic buying, local shop and garage have no bread or milk and have been told supermarkets are similar to just before christmas. Hell's teeth it will only last for a day !!

Sorry I get really grouchy without milk in my coffee ;)

Yeti was right about the latest UKMO run placing the low further North. The -1 850 upper air temp line is now as far North as South Midlands. That is quite a big difference from the old UKMO run. I expect a different BBC forecast at 10:30pm now, has to come after that downgrade.

Downgrade of gigantic proportions. Maybe it wasn't sour grapes after all from me? I am only telling it how I see it and it seems that the UKMO now agrees with the GFS, well i'm glad I didn't get my hopes up.

That should come right over me !!!

Looks like the ''major snow storm'' is being played down a little for this area now.

Looks like it could be major rain.
