our snow is still going strong and lying on the roads!!!

i reckon that the best is still to come here with snow in the forth supplying a constant moderate snowfall

if the charts are to be believed, we will be the last region to lose the snow and it will eventually die out here(whenever that may be)

we still haven't hit the really heavy stuff yet, but it looks like we might if the showers in the clyde keep going for a bit longer

if it goes on for long enough, then a day off school seems all but inevitable :D :yahoo

12th march 2006=9th february 2009

and still no warnings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking more and more like it has stalled and is channelling showers of the sea to the north of ireland W2E. Those in the west central belt could end up doing very well, and a some might just be left over for us on the east...

Not going to bed in a sulk quite yet anyway. :D

Considering last night it was maybe hit and miss as to whether we got any, this is a big surprise, just been out back for a crafty and nearly 3 inches and still falling. Seems to be quite a nice easterly breeze as well so brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Wonder what my chances are of making it to the weeg tomorrow?

Well well well. My pals who've been round for dinner have just left - and as Sammie says it's thick with snow out there... I owe WhiteXmas several pints, this wee front has certainly pepped-up and delivered the most snow of the winter here :whistling:

SNOW! and its still snowing! About 2cm now!

Congrats. Normally it is me trying to convince the boss I'm snowed in here when its lovely, dry and sunny where he is in Edinburgh! Looks like it might be the opposite way around tonight.

Oh yes oh yes but it moved weird, go watch the Met Office loop of the front it swung round and sat over the west coast for ages...didn't think that would happen.

same here!!!

snow is lighter now but the stuff in edinburgh and in the forth should make it here overnight along with more snow from the west so i'm confident of maybe a few inches

Its very small snow, powdery apparently acording to the boys who decided to try and make a snow man on a car it didn't stick well.

Ski resorts did good this weekend:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/7877592.stm

Glad to hear the snow made it across to the central areas.

Can't believe how quickly temps are falling here - currently -5.4 after a high of -0.5.
