temps quite high here at mo 2.9c dew 2.0c mostly rain falling with the occasional 'splodge'

Good to see the Massive Centrale population in Tonight-

Mike can you keep us updated with landmark Depwoints- 1.5C, 1C etc-

Biggin Hill was 1c earlier-

Charlton ( keep us updated as well) we should be able to get the feel for the change is coming-- if it does.....

Did you hear about the power cut?

Saint...I rang my wife about half an hour ago and it seems we had a power cut too. That's quite a wide area then. What was all that about? Was it weather related?

There is a powercut in Tunbridge Wells - has been for four hours now, not sure why...

There not sure it could be weather but most of herts is affected in patches-1,500 homes here without gas/electricity 40 in letchworth where they have been evacuated due to gas explosions and boiler explosions.

Yeah, the snow is holding on fairly well. Less so in my back yard, but still impressive considering all the rain today.

Every time I have looked at the temp and dewpoint for Brighton, it has increased! :lol:

At 4pm it was temp 4.1 dewpoint 3.1 and now its temp 5.3 dewpoint 4.4...! :o

Hi Steve

On my way home soon but if there is a chance it will happen very quick. On Friday my wife popped into the supermarket and it was sleet/rain twenty minutes later when she came out the roads and pavements were covered. Fingers crossed for everyone who loves snow -will make this dreary day bearable if it happens. . Definitely will be posting if things start to get interesting but unlike Friday I have a feeling this is far more marginal.

Very wet snow in Luton now. Is this good news for further snow as I thought it would not turn to snow until at least after midnight if at all! I have a gut feeling that this will be more widespread than forcast!

Good evening all snow lovers :-)

Just a quick report to say that at 4.30 we had a "wet" snow event near Sutton, I wasn't expecting it, so was a nice surprise. It only lasted for 15mins, but hey it was heavy SNOW

Just hoping that there may be more (forever the optimist !) Raining now at home (South of Guildford) so fingers crossed it will change.

All those travelling tonight in the snow, take care and don't forget to blow it this way......

Hard to say. I just studied the outside light and it's a tough call. I think it's just bigger rain drops falling. we're 1.9/1.2c so slowly getting there.

I'm not sure those places where its turning should be expecting it to remain as sleet/snow. I thought it was a case of it turning back to rain later and then hopefully back again in the early hours?
