Sexy rumbles here, sweet. Not seen lightning yet but gonna stare out the window now!

Is it worth keeping appliances on during a storm? Worth the risk?

Yeah - i would only switch my laptop off if it got really severe, no need to worry

Amazing! What a few miles can do, I've only managed to see one flash of lightning this evening to the west but otherwise nothing. Can hear intermittent thunder though coming from the EAST which is encouraging!

Some nice AcCas "JellyFish Clouds" here to my East at the moment, hopefully a good sign of things to come this weekend.

Just showing potential thunderstorms at the moment. it looks as though the zest of the thunderstorms moving across from Somerset and across southwest Wales , Looks as though some "inported" storms from France could be more interesting?post-6830-1245960501_thumb.jpg

Just been watching the cell produce some nice pink intercloud lightning, even though the storm seems to be moving North West it appears to be back building on its southern edge, so could see some lightning. Its moving away quite quickly now so thunder is very faint now,

Just had an amazing crawler come out of that cell to the east and a huge bang of thunder. What a brilliant start! Now just grumbles but setting up the camera now.

Yes got some really lovely unstable cloudscapes here. I will travel into Derbyshire tomorrow evening if any storms rumble northwards during the afternoon
