Great post by mr murr again . As things stand I think he is 100 % right the central Kent area will be the sweet spot . Living in sw London we only get a good dumping normally from a Thames streamer which relies on a Ene and that a dumping of 10 inches in Feb 2009 . from bitter experience I'm only expecting a few cm if I'm lucky due to the overiding wind direction . Then again despite advisory from the Met I wouldn't be too surprised if I got zlich a bit like the dec 2005 post boxing day easterly where again I think places like ashford got big dumpings . Small changes make all the difference and you can only really see the outcome with radar / lampost watching . So for us londoners the further se you are the better and don't be surprised if areas like Croydon / Sutton get small or nothing .

Well well, 18Z UKMO of the NAE is even more impressive.

More 'heavy snow' symbols then the 12Z run from Great Yarmouth down to Guildford. Kent looks to take a battering as the front stalls during Friday.

Upgrade alert!

Is the front in the same position or has it shifted?

Have to laugh at Rob's chuckle at the end! :)

Classic Rob at the end! getting a bit excited about Monday? More snow for the East?

Noted him say the band of snow could well be further west, so it seems everywhere in the EA/SE is at risk of snow from 5-10cm's!

A classic forecast from Rob on the national news. At the end with a raised eyebrow, "And then there's Monday" :)

Marginally further West but Kent has it's only area of snow a good 6 hours before the main band stalls later in the day.

Rob must of loved presenting that forecast. Such a difference from Darren Bett who seems almost disapointed with the snow earlier laugh.gif

Excellent read Steve. Never seen such a detailed forecast/discussion shok.gif

Although, I'm unsure which number (1-5) Essex falls under lol

Any chance of copy and pasting? Only for some reason my computer won't open the file :)

Thanks Steve, yeah looking at that chart my idea of about 3-4 inches for this location seems pretty solid to me, close enough to the frontal system (and indeed under it at times) to give the showers the extra boost needed to sustain them.

An awesome forecast from Rob M and doesn't look too shabby for snow in my area either. He also mentioned that the snow could well extend to areas further west than forecast! He certainly made me laugh at the end regarding Monday!

:D

An absolute legend!

Rob's evil laugh at the end of the forecast is the funniest thing I've seen all week. Please somebody YouTube it!

I re-wound it a few times on sky - classic!!! He could step in for the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! laugh.gif

The Times has just published this story on how tomorrow's snow will develop and the general outlook to Christmas:

You don't see articles like that in the Sun laugh.gif
