The snow shouldn't be too far away from me now in south Northamptonshire. Luton is only 30 miles down the road from here and they are getting a good dumping.

West Midlands has by far been the worst for snow this time. We are going to miss this lot by not far aswell. Any breakdown looks far too marginal aswell.

Yeah, I agree with this :) Granted, it has been very cold here but we've only seen about 20 minutes of snowfall in total since the beginning of this cold spell! Even my family in Cardiff had a few CM's last night. I was hoping this band of precipitation would track further north as it headed into southern england earlier but it looks like we will miss out again.

well strange watching the radar, rather than the band moving towards us, bits of precip keep popping up further and further north and slowly but surely intensifying. its going to be close for us in leics and also warwickshire, i think some very light snow might be on the cards. heavy stuff that will have us shouting blizzard on here like down in reading is highly unlikely though.

Nick, have you looked at the 12z GFS...Its tantalizing for wednesday night into thursday...I'd describe it as 'knife-edge'...negative dewpoints and cold uppers slowly rising during the night as frontal ppn pushes up from the south west...Snow to start with, turning to sleet and then rain, or snow continuing.....Very, very marginal, yet very, very possible <_<

This is gonna be close for us here in warks, we've had only the slightest of dustings which has stuck but a couple of centmetres would make my day!!

All i ask is that there is enough snow so as to make that "crunching" noise underfoot.

Anything more would be an amazing bonus.....good luck green midlands! :drunk::)

Hi Andy, live in London, parents in Oadby. It's a potent front, just dumped an inch and a half on west London in warm air and on wet ground, before turning to rain and easing off. I reckon it's heading for you, looking at the radar. Should saty as snow outside the urban heat island of London. Hope so, because I want a decent amount of snow to play with when I get up there on the 23rd for the holidays.

I'm depressed, those pesky sarf easterners getting it all again. Only consolation is the slight covering we had on saturday night is still intact due to the ice days.
