No you'll get some, if not by the main band. Youll get pounded by the showers through this week.

Just running the radar over the last hour and if I hadn't seen a forecast it would look like it was heading south and east. When is this supposed to stop the current trajectory towards SE/East Anglia?

Thanks.

Morning folks. Just on -2 here, very hard frost and lots of ice! Clouds creeping in and tinged a beautiful pink as the sun rises. Crossing everything in hopes of some white stuff soon. :)

This has definitely gone further east than expected. I think, particularly eastern midlands, could get a lot more than forecasted. Even london is supposed to get heavy snow around 5 pm today according to the news, i am informed.

Here's an idea of the timing and direction for the main events of today:

I think almost everybody in here has a chance in the next 24 hours+

Yes would have to agree there, looks like its coming towards the se,very light snow just started here. This must be one of the biggest forecast nightmares that we have ever seen.

But east kent didn't see any snow then!!!!

00000000 dear..... you 2 must have your own little climate round your houses, or i must not no what snow is......

i saw snow before xmas, which i was fishing in down at deal, and deal dover and folkstone had more then most places in east kent,

and i have snow laying on the ground now here just outside canterbury.

if you love snow enough to sit on a forum wishing it to come, you wont care about the amount you get, your just be out enjoying it which is what i plan to do today......

if we get more bonus.... if not we have some lovely!!!

i love snow as much as any of the huge rampers on here but all this whinging is rather sad.... its snow get a grip!!!

Rant over...

Yes.......I just checked at the Ian Brown Meteorology website and Ealing will receive 12,344,567,232 flakes of snow today. This equates to approx 4.7mg of C02. Your Council Tax energy tariff will be incremented accordingly. :)

If you imagine it as 'sliding' on an angle into the SW Midlands and Wales then that's the direction its taking, if you believe the models.
