This is all moving directly north next to me, not making any effort at all to move toward me. I'm going to go off and have a little weep I think! :drinks:

This is all getting extremely frustrating for us Bristolians, as well!

Would love to see a picture from an Isle of Wight resident of the snowfall at its heaviest. I think I see a white dot on the radar!

I don't think that the low is moving as far east, or as quickly as has been suggested. Pressure still dropping here, but winds now in NNE.

Well, after a very disappointing day of cold rain with occasional sleet, it looks as if I will get a good covering tonight.

If the low does move a little east then it'll be even better. Though it'll still be a case of wake up and see!

Very icy outside and clear at the moment so temp falling steadily. I'm really excited about tonights snow and everything is crossed.

No negative thoughts here.... :whistling:

For goodness sake, dont look at that wrap-around and shout out those immortal words "ROTATION!".... (Mind you, that stuff over in Wales to your north west has all the makings of a 'Pembrookshire Dangler'!!

Only jesting Pat!

on a side note....look! 2000 posts of utter spam! 8)

starting to snow here now - pretty big flakes. I take it thats the wrap around just nosing in going by radar.

To me, NAE looks good for here - GFS is taking less of the 700mb lift (vv) around the top of the low and so the same area to be hit, but less precip stretching west .. if we wake up with half the amounts predicted i wont be suprised, but hell its snowcover, so not dissapointed either. If this was scotland with 4ft level snow, id have lost my cats by now!

A few flurries over the past half hour, not on the radar so not everything shows up. Looking forward to some decent snow later on in the night, just wondering if it's worth staying up for moving at this rate!

Temp is -0.5C so no problems there.
