Looking like SE London mught catch a bit (not a big bit) but the winds still have too much of a northerly element to them; once they turn more easterly things should start to look up for the capital and it environs (south of the river in particular)...

Snowing here! Hooray! Thought we were going to slip through a gap in the radar... but nope, tis definitely snowing. Really really tiny flakes so looks more like drizzle but is snow. Coming down quite fast and is certainly settling on the ice patches...cant't tell if its settling else where as it is still covered in snow from Wednesday

Blobs look to be coming from a more E direction then ENE lately which would improve the lot of us north of London (but so far not north or west enough!)

That'll be no good, they'll get caught up in the traffic before they get here!

I lived in Minster on the Isle of Sheppey in the early to mid 80's, now that was a snowfest

Cut off with cars and buses abandoned, wonder how they are faring with this little lot

Fine snow here in Dover at this minute... nothing of note... may as well call it a flurry.

About tonight... I can see it missing us here in East Kent Dover area. I have a feeling.

Can anyone shed any light on the weird BBC forecast for Sunday? According to the Beeb, it seems that the easterly is predicted to only deliver snow to south west England and wales, showing no form of PPN for Eastern England.

Cheers

I saw that too, not what I was expecting nonono.gif

Mind you I wasn't expecting any snow today and I've just been out for an hour and a half walk and it has snowed three times, be it almost invisable minute particles of snow, it was snowing and it was enough to cover my front path which was cleared and salted yesterday.

These 'Wash Showers' are really dying a death before thay can get anywhere near us. Me thinks that is because there is little lying snow to beef them up on their journey over land. Further South, there is much more snow cover so they showers are lasting longer - any opinions?
