Even here in south wales, though im only suppose to get rain there is a muggyiess and the skies just have that thundery look like after a hot summers day when there are thunderstorms in the evening with that misty look in the distance and the stormy looking skies! I can but only hope that something happens around these parts, nice to see one or two showers ahead of the main band have some sferics to them!

agreed! went quite dark

It seems to be slowly becoming bigger i just hope it doesnt die but knowing my luck it will.

Edit: Conditions look ok at the moment 12.2C 91% humidity and DP 11C

Your surface conditions will be fairly irrelevant as the majority of sferics will be as a result of elevated storms (ie not surface based).

Yeah I wouldn't worry hugely on your surface conditions much more with this moisture plume now coming in from the east, most of it will be elevated so fingers crossed it can be destabilised sufficiently to produce a lightning show once again for some :)

Not expecting anything here in Norwich, mind (again!)

It was good of the low cloud to finally clear properly by 18.00 allowing brief hazy sunshine and a fine view of unstable mid level

cloud! Not so unstable here as 48 hours ago but quite a surprise to see a storm has cracked off between Oxford-Swindon and

is heading to the Bristol region!

So much focus has been on what's moving in from the Continent that I don't think I've heard any mention of home growns, yet

we have one and whose to say more won't follow!

It does appear the low is starting to spin stuff in a westerly direction, but obviously appears Northeasterly... but that is as the airplane flies the quickest route :D

Let's see what happens in the next few hours, I want a thunder stormy......

I blame Jesus...

If you haven't already, reading this excellent informative post #397 from Boar Wrinklestorm earlier may give some hope to folks in south Wales! Might be a bit too far west here, although if it's travelling west you never know...

I Blame Thor.

I would blame the Azores high, but who is thor?

Storms generally taking a westward track according to the radar, closer to the low you are the more the southerly track.
