What happened to being able to put your location on the left of the page under username?

Anyway back on track is there really any chance of snow in Eastbourne this weekend???

For the time being, that function has been taken off to save bandwith for the servers (at least that's what I think it is).

Exciting times! My partner and I both had children from a previous relationship and when we had our little boy we didn't find out the sex either...so much more exciting! Good luck on both job and baby smile.png

Thank you very much, will let you all know what we have and when :)

Going to be a dry weekend for me (as in no alcohol). Shame really, nothing like a nice glass of Malbec while watching the snow fall. It's all or a good cause though. (Cancer Research - Dryathlon).

Can`t see me riding my motorbike next week of some of those charts verify. :D

But as for the "Mad" thread,seriously.....some people need their heads knocking together! It`s amature hobbyists (tho some very informative) arguing about computer predictions over a dynamic event. As my daughter would say, only go in there for the lols. :p

The met look at everything: ecm, ukmo raw, gfs, nae and their own high res precip model which we don't have access to (can't remember the name of it) and then human input

Is this situation a lot different from the failed easterly in December? I keep reading all the good ramping posts in the MOD thread, and in here but I can't get that nagging feeling out of my head that it could go pear shaped like last time..... Thanks LD

yes they were forecasting for all the SE so we should all still be in with a chance. Just they were saying the further north and east you are the more you are likely to see. Didn't rule us out though. Showed Luton which isn't far with snow Sun and am sure it will all be a case of waiting until a bit nearer and alot of radar and lampost watching. Still a good 48 to 72 hours out yet for this first lot so all to play for yet. And thats before next week starts smile.png

It has to snow now. I've just (maybe foolishly) told my 5 & 3 year old boys that's its going to snow. PLEASE make it snow, or I'm going to be the worst dad come Sunday ⛄⛄⛄⛄

As always usual caveats apply it can very easily go wrong and I would prefer to have the GFS on side, but it is an option and a good one at that.
