Just had a look at the NMM 12z. It has the band tracking SW reaching as far west as High Wycombe/Reading by 1am and continues all the way to the south coast, fizzling out as it does.

Hopefully it will swing to cover more of the SE but right now it doesnt look to good on the radar

With all due respect Steve, the radar is showing what is expected but as it swings around there will be an element of back building. And there is still a chance of bonus showers.

We really do need that warm sector to B****r off!! The temps have even gone up in Lincolnshire.

Too much warming from the North Sea perhaps?

well it matches whats on the radar now, it would be the wind direction pushing it back inland and over us. obviously no guarantees as these set-ups can change within a few hours (which people need to remember when criticising the professionals) but it looks good at the moment.

We've had a heavy mix of rain and snow in Haywards Heath for the past hour or so, it's stopped now but it looked really pretty in the garden light, like lots of mini fireworks shooting down. I've never seen it like that before, in tried to video it but it looks too dark on the playback.

Good to see someone else from Haywards Heath on here! Hoping for some real snow tonight after last night's disappointment...

NO NO NO Ed - You are doing this all wrong

You slag it off after the forecast has gone wrong!

Fair play to Steve for sticking his forecasting head on the line for tonight though, lets see how it pans out! Hehehe

Pretty much hopeless if your after setting snow those who like me have seen rain overr the past hour.

Those who want to see non setting snow should be in business however i don't think i will bother as snow that does not settle is not something that floats my boat.

Have a good one all.

Beers & Bed for me.

Just asked Chris Bell (BBC Forecaster on Look East) if he can post his picture in this thread which shows 15.5cm of snow North of Norwich, hoping he will oblige in a mo for all the doubters, just seen the picture on Facebook!
