A downgrade in snow potential. A dry cold spell does nothing for me.

First Saturday just gone was meant to deliver us snow then it was Monday, then it was today, then it was Wednesday and Thursday for snow showers (since downgraded), then it was friday (could be downgraded), now it could be next Monday. It's like chasing shadows!

He has got a point,,

That's because people keep taking notice of the models, don't, just look a few days ahead as interest. The models can't handle this situation and there is one guy who thinks that the ukmo is never wrong, well what happened to those biting north east winds and heavy snow showers for most of this week blum.gif

My friends and family have all had snow. I just want some freaking snow!!!! cray.gif

The Scandi High has started it's own blog against the Atlantic, it's been mocking it! ;)

Patience. The cold is here, it's only a matter of time before we get some decent snow. All the best winters were often cold for weeks before any meaningful snow arrived

I wonder if this line of precipitation coming down from the north sea could be in line to get as far as London? Looks like its almost headed in the right direction if it doesnt fizzle out, which it probably will. Could be good for East Anglia anyway..

Its been nice on this thread tonight, yesterday was silly with the amount of hot air being blown about by some in here.

Anywhere in essex/London e.t.c VERY low risk of snow as the winds are not in the right direction for that

East Kent is best, Mid Kent/North Kent at risk, Might get something in suffolk though

Depends if they keep their intensity and the wind direction is right :)

Take every forecast for the weather beyond Wednesday night with a very large pinch of salt, either way.

Thats where the model disagreements start...yes there really are disagreements (and large ones at that!) by 36-48hrs. We really are going old school with this cold spell (where you never quite knew what was next to come!)

Peter Cockroft just said less could and snow turning to rain for the weekend. Here we go again. I would be peed off to end up with a slushy mess.

Peter Crockfort is one of the worst forecasters i've come across, can't remember the last accurate forecast from him in winter... Seriously though, he should NOT be forecasting so far ahead in this current situation, wrong or right

He doesn't exactly get me enthused either. Think he's a mildy.

Do you want to know something?

He's been accused as being a mild lover ever since two/net weather was created and he came onto the scene :)
