Yep. It has weakened quite a lot.

Another run, another option.

RAMP AHOY-

as above NAE soundings are heavier for the SW at 42 ( remember my HOOK I was on about feeding in moisture)

GFS 48 & 54

gfs-2-48.png?12

gfs-2-54.png?12

Slightly lighter this time around- at 54--- but ALL snow+ accumulations-

gfs-2-60.png?12

A slight slide SW in the 12z run rules out EA & even the midlands- but remember ALL SNOW...

Still ok. The snow is coming. It is just a question of how much. Less intense Ppn on this run. But too far out to be thinking about totals. Main thing is, the snow makes it.

The meto for a while have had us down for over a 24hr snow event and everything is backing that up.

Even on my meto app it agrees lol

Peeps remember the best gfs precip charts are on meteociel - click gfs 0.5 and also the gfs "precipitations hd" which are at 0.2 and highest res for gfs

GFS 12z has lighter ppn and the NAE has even lighter.

Don't mean to sound like Mr Grumps and I'm not being difficult.

But the way I'm seeing things at the moment is the West Midlands are about to have some great snowfall on Friday, this is confirmed with Amber warnings and TV forecasts really focusing on western areas.

So why are some members acting as if we will be snowed in, in the SE.

London will shut down etc etc. Apart from the 06z the GFS over the last couple runs has just light snow for us, that's even if the ppn makes it here.

Sorry just wanting know if I'm reading things wrong.

Yes it looks like light snow and will look very pretty but not disruptive.

Some say Amber warnings extended tomorrow - hope so :-)

Anyway at least this is better than the mild dross from the Atlantic so I'll take light snow with low accumulation anyday :-)
