Unfortunately, this is going to pan out the way I thought it would, stalling west not energy going east, we will still get snow, but cms rather than inches. On the positive, temps will stay low, and potential for streamers from early next week. This is just the beginning :)

If the warming theory is to be believed this is only the beginning! ;) why are people beleving past this weekend on the models? So much is up in the air...... So muh is changing..... Gfs loves to forecast mild, its the norm, we have abnormal synoptics..... Its going to be uncertain at short timeframes..... Im hoping my sister in plymouth gets a pasting of snow ( as its unusual) my partner gets to manchester saturday for match, we get absolute cold and monday and beyond finally delivers, ie ne streamers feet of snow and prolonged cold..... There you go..... My prognosis.....

Fliiping eck there are some miserable people around on netweather at the moment . ranging from 'oh no the preciptiation wont come far enough east' to 'oh no its coming through too quickly and its going to rain.'

I cant see it suddenly not making it across the UK just because the crap GFS says its slightly further west . sorry don't buy it

Listen everyone,as others have said,it is only 1 run.2 hrs ago everyone was going bananas about how much snow we were going to get,now everyone is doom and gloom. We all know how difficult it is to predict snow even from 6-12hrs out.Let's see where we are tomorrow afternoon when things will be clearer.I want snow like most of you do,but if it doesn't happen Friday,it still looks possible for early next week

Chins up everybody!!

Not if it doesn't reach us!

It'll reach us imo it's just a case of what it has left in the tank when it does.

What is that guy smoking? Not a single model shows that and the BBC South East forecast is different to his BBC London one.

lol I don't want it sorry.gif the only thing I can see wrong is that it could be a start to the end of this cold period mega_shok.gif

Snowing moderately in Thanet now and starting to settle, definately not sleet.

Cockcroft Ramp Alert, 'Snow might turn sleety on Saturday'.

Iirc, he records his forecasts in the afternoon, so massively out of date...

-3.4 at Reigate grammar with -4.1 dew!
