Still light snow here no accumulation since 1cm. However, very suprisingly the temp has dropped from 0.2c to -0.1c, which is the coldest its been during any snowfall since last Friday!

The one thing that is keeping me interested is that on the recent radar updates the heavier stuff is moving north east and making better progress over the pennines. If it does what the last band does and weakens when it gets to me then intensifys when it past me then i will call it a night.

I think our look might change in cleveland area in the next few hours or is that just wishful thinking i hope not as this cold spell has been poor for us at sea level just one decent snow event and the most sleet i have ever seen.

Jeez it's raw out there.

Lightish snow here, but that wind is biting.

Lots of snow blowing off the fields across local roads. Certainly going to be an interesting drive to work (Washington) tomorrow morning at 04.30blink.png

Just been scanning threw the wind vectors at the various hights from 1000hpa to 300hpa and they all point either north or north east, so im going to call it that the north-east including Cleveland, Teeside, and just for Nick R Durham will get hit by the heavier stuff.

My cards on the table and lets hope im right.

Just measured 9cms, 3 of which fell in last half hour, the snow is the heaviest I have known it in years, remarkable.

Would be nice to experience that... some of the snow around Leeds and Manchester looks insane!

;-)

Will there by any ppn left by then though?

Great link.good.gif

Anyone for a drive up to Tow Law?

Conditions are worse here than on Monday now, with heavier snow and stronger winds.

PPN around here is very very fine again, really hard to judge how much is falling because my windows have got drops on them from the dry snow hitting them from the roofs but I can't see any distinct flakes again though.

Not for here it doesn't! LOL

Heavier stuff skirting just a few miles to the North of me - it's a desert here.
