Quite impressed with this frontal event.

Roads around here are treacherous with lying snow, not particularly deep but a few cms has topped up the cover.

Visually this has gone impressive again, shame the snowflake side is very small but its creating reduced visability thanks to the wind and the dry snow blowing off the roofs! How much is actually accumulating I don't know!

Pretty awesome in Blackhill. Massive snowflakes, and snowing really hard ... We collected our Chinese ;)

I deliver Chinese myself during the week and always curse the people that order when it's snowing. Hypocrit that I am

Still moderate snow here temperatures have dropped below freezing at -0.2ºC and dew points -1.8ºC. Pretty good frontal snow event and plenty more to come and increasing intensity if the radar is to be believed. Further south of our region are having heavier precipitation but its not all snow at lower levels with intermittent hail/sleet and freezing rain at least its all snow even here at the coast.

Still nothing to write home about here. This is all pretty depressing TBH!

It's quite possible that we'll never get another chance to see the sorts of intensity they're getting around Leeds and Manchester again in decades... if ever! :(

Heavy snow here, about 2 inches added since 0900.

About 1.5cm added here at best since then. Weird for there to be such differences, especially without any major height difference.

Although the radar shows all the heavy stuff north of me (like usual), I can confirm that it is snowing heavily here.

Just checked, 4cm added and still snowing.

And stop moaning, the snow we got on the 26th Nov was immense and the heaviest I'd ever seen. We have good accumulations here, and the others deserve some intense stuff - we usually have it all!!

Last time: I'm not moaning; I'm quite happy with everything.. just stating what is happening. Maybe you should look more carefully at my smilies this evening! Fact is we ARE missing out on a very special event. It's a shame. That's just saying how it is. With all due respect, the snow we got 2 yrs ago was immense... but not on the scale of some of the sustained intensity being reported.

Anyway, I'll try to think of a way of describing events where we miss out, stating facts, without it coming over as moaning... want me to post a picture of myself jumping for joy as I state "it's a bit of a shame"? Dearie Lettuceing me!

After my no snow reports, glad to say we are in a blizzard at the moment. Looks likely to hold also :)

You're getting rain.

Yeah rain with the odd bit off sleet in it now. My temp is 1.5 and dew point -0.6 which has been rising for the last hour. Readng some of the other posts from other threads it started off as rain and turned to snow so some hope at least
