Whilst the north midlands will do quite well out of snow fun during Friday, the south midlands look like having there turn on Saturday....Dewpoints and Precip look better for snow on Saturday IE the Worcestershire area for instance!blum.gifblum.gifblum.gif

Meto website suggests virtually all snow, personally expect a sleety start and afternoon tomorrow. All snow after dark on Friday and after midnight tonight.

Well some light sleety snow falling here, it's 2.0oC currently, dew point is at 0.0. Nothing sticking, it's just melting at the moment.

It's 0c for a large majority of tonight through quite a bit of the midlands. Surely at worst that means it's very icey rain ? Snow seems more likely to me.

Everyone is being very negative in here. It's snowed on many occasions at 3c outside, and yet its 0c pushing 1c tops and people are worried. Dew Points arn't *that* bad either. 850's not great, but oh well. Two out of three aint bad.

Pouring down with rain here!

Unfortunately for you it's 3c and isn't getting any colder.

I still think it will start as rain for the majority before turning more readily to snow midnight onwards :)

Current temp: 2.4C

Dew Point: -0.5C

So current conditions should see snow falling here, it's just whether that dew point can hold off rising just 0.5C when all that moisture arrives...I'm sceptical to say the least.

Pretty certain to be rain there to start in the west of region... That is to be expected! To me it looks like gfs at moment has precipitation well modelled at thus point... Whether that continues to be the case is open to question

Local weather station is predicting 30mm rain Friday and 32mm of snow Saturday. If that all falls as snow...clapping.gif

Dew point -1.7c here

Temp... measuring right now with my poultry thermometer!

I'm actually feeling quite nervous for this now. I'm ready for Spring, but if this is going to be a big event then I'm back to chase snow for the weekend.
