As some of you have noticed, Im in a bit of a rockin' bluesy, pub rock mood this afternoon. This old man had to do something to lighten his mood and it's slowly working. Someone, I forget who, put Status Quo's 'Going down the dustpipe' video in The Lounge. My only claim to anything near fame was helping the Quo unload their gear when they played at our local 'dancehall' many many moons ago, just about when they bought this record out.

Perhaps I should stay on topic and mention the weather ? Same old same old I'm afraid, so it's back to music for me. Posted Image

He might be getting older - but I still have a thing for FrancisPosted Image  The weather?  Sporadic rain and drizzle and a rather minty pea soupPosted Image

Heavy rain in Reigate with more to come by the looks of it.  Lots of leaves down in the back garden from the Purple Plum and the Photinia, making the grass look like it does in November.  With some quite strong winds likely tomorrow it seems the Autumnal appearance will continue.  I hope I don't have to use the leaf blower yet - I have only just made him redundant.....

Yellow Warning of Wind for London & South East England :

Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Kent, Medway, East Sussex, Brighton and Hove & West Berkshire

Yellow Warning of Wind for East of England :

Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Luton, Essex, Southend-on-Sea & Peterborough

Strong, gusty winds from the southwest or west, have the potential to gust to over 40 mph quite widely on Thursday, and in excess of 50 mph at a few locations. The strongest winds will transfer eastwards through the day, clearing eastern areas by evening. Given the time of year, with trees in full leaf and some holiday traffic and activities, the public should be aware of the possibility of localised minor impacts.

Valid from:

0600 on Thu 13 Jun 2013

Valid to:

2000 on Thu 13 Jun 2013

A rather tight area of low pressure will track across central Britain on Thursday, with a swathe of strong winds to the south. Although gusts will fall well short of those usually associated with warnings, the unseasonable element increases the risk of minor disruption to travel or summer activities.

Has anyone seen those hurricane parties they hold in The States when one is about to blow through ?? Well I guess this is the closest we get to holding a South East/East Anglia party as an Atlantic storm blows into our region. Its cats and dogs out there tonight folks.
