All rain here now. Virtually snowless last night.

Looking like quite a week to come!

The earlier rain which had been eating away at last night's whiteness turned to heavy snow in Moffat about 1/2 hour ago and has re-plastered everything with some fresh. I can hear regular rolls of thunder from the Moffat Hills too.

Interestingly the heavy rain that has been falling here for the last couple of hours has turned back to wet snow and the temperature is dropping again from 3.2c to 2.4c and the dewpoint is down from 2.1c to 1.6c.

Heavy snaw falling here, big flakes and sticking instantly. 12 hours too late though.

Overnight showers stayed as sleety snow so now we have a rapidly melting slushy cover.

Forecast for the coming days looks pretty mixed but for here, about as wintry as we've seen for a long time.

Just a couple of flurries here earlier in the night. Very icy this morning though.

Central Highlands seem to have caught the worst of it as usual.

Heavy snow. I reckon we have until midday then back to rain. Monday is the blip as back to snow Monday night.

Right old mix of rain and sleet this morning. Had a little snow last night but not much (maybe some places higher up here caught more) still opportunities for more next few days so it seems

Morning all,

No snow on the ground here in Crail (of course) but at least I saw a few flakes falling yesterday. Just missed an air frost last night, min was +0.2c.

Looks like we'll see a bit of everything this coming week, plenty to keep us interested.

A really pretty wintry scene for much of the week by the looks of it although why everywhere north of Glasgow is referred to as 'the Scottish mountains' by the BBC is a bit mystifying.

Pardon?

Heavy SNAW here

Pardon?

Did someone mention snow?

Managed to achieve about an inch o' snaw last evening / night

Most of it is still intact although there had been a steady drizzle for a couple of hours.

Wet snaw falling now!!!

Should get the nephew's quad bike oot the shed and tie the sledges tae the back and scoot a boot while the going is good eh!

Snowing here as well, only sticking on the grass and cars at the moment at this level but another 50ft up the hills are solid white. Interesting week ahead by the looks of it. T currently 2c which has fallen slightly in the last hour.
