As expected now uppers/dewpoints/conditions are ideal for the first time this winter over the next few days any precipitation could not be further away if it tried .

Pleasant sunny few days, frosty nights, 3-5c days but all a bit bland.

Yep Connor1213

Skies have cleared now,

Temp falling now 1.8C with 54% humidity giving a dewpoint of -6.3C.

Wind is falling out quickly now so could get down to -4C.(or lower if wind falls light).

MIA

If only we could get some ppn on Tuesday/ Wednesday when that feature in the North

is about.

The winds do turn NNE so maybe a surprise form that if we are lucky in the West Mids for once?!

I think it's game over from looking at the models and radar. Agony !!!

If you think it's going/or expect it to snow everyday you must be in a lot of pain Chunky.

A good hard frost tonight :cold: It's better than a 12c Southwesterly ....Chill out Chunk

Temperature now below freezing at -1.7C.

I noticed that we had quite a bit of very thin slushy ice on the pond when out with the dog an hour or so ago. Very puzzling since this is the first time for several days that the temp has fallen below freezing.

What is boring about a severe frost? Might even get some fog to give a snow-effect on the hedges and trees.

I'm sure there will be some surprise ppn around in the next few days that could bring a shower or two to some. We all know how unpredictable snow is.

would be a great setup if I had snow, like between Xmas and new year, enjoyed that wintry spell, boxing day snow, then frosts, 2 ice days

Id much, much rather have this cold, crisp weather with the possibility of snow than raging mild, endless blowtorch zonal weather like last year!  To be fair - I've seen lots of snow'fall' this winter but its just failed to properly SETTLE!
It could be worse though, I spent the weekend in Cardiff and they haven't seen ANY snow this winter!

Latest euro4 shows a stream of snow showers running into the midlands Tuesday morning!! Bet no one saw that coming once again!!

Euro4 has been unreliable lately. Unless the NMM shows it happening, I don't buy it.

So there are now some very small chances Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday?

Looks better than Sunday 3rd January 2010 when we entered the working week thinking that there would be no chance at all.

It wasn't as good this week, but the week before it got it spot on when METO and everyone else were ramping things up. Downgraded just before the event and proved to be correct
