Snow to rain event on Sunday as the atlantic bumps into the cold air Unless we can get an undercut in which case it will be all snow.So no deep freeze in the forecast but plenty to keep us interested in the next seven days.

Yeah can vouch for that little burst of snow/ rain giving icy stretches on the road. Nursery run done in pickup and the rwd had the back end twitchy several times. All good fun and nothing we're not used to.

People get really hung up about borders and addresses in this part of the world -Hale is administratively part of gtr Manchester we are in the metropolitan borough of Trafford - but our postal address is Cheshire and our post code prefix is WA for Warrington!

Glossopdale is a quandary too... we’re in High Peak Derbyshire, have Stockport postcode, police are Derbyshire but our health service is Tameside... suppose all due, like others, to being so close to county borders/metropolitan boroughs etc... can be confusing

0c still frost on cars and still have patches of snow on drive/grass

Frost melting,  nothing seems to be falling although radar says otherwise.

Looking at the radar, the southern part of the front seems to be dying a death with all of the energy further north so for ourselves, it looks more a case of if anything falls at all rather than whether it will be wet of white.

That would tie on with the yellow warning ⚠️ area from about Bacup northwards.

Looking at GFS 06z, Thursdays front is further south and west but still nowhere to giving snow to this region, however Sunday 31st looks much better for a frontal snow event

The lightest and most occasional of flakes starting to fall here now.

I think ECM shows its for the south, GFS is very progressive with all these 'events', I don't know what to think anymore
