Stopped now but left a messy mixture of snow and slush here and what look like a full covering at 1100ft.

Latest GFS has all snow on Friday now. I really do think if you are East of 2.5° W and above 100 m you are really going to get battered next week.

expect more reports of snow this afternoon above 150 m as well especially in heaviest showers. Freezing level is only around 700 m.

Hills disappeared in a sleety rain curtain.

Stinker of a day outside for a weekend with persistent rain and the occasional 40+mph gust thrown in for good measure, hearing talk about 2 possible named storms and more snowfall for the week ahead so that's something to keep a eye on here post-Arwen.

We had missed the worst of the rain over Gtr Manchester this morning here in South Cheshire but a dreary afternoon shaping up - cold gusty winds and light- moderate rain ☔️

As others have said those above 100m most likely to see any wintry conditions next week but lower levels inland may well see some at times if conditions are right - quite a volatile period coming up with fine margins and perhaps another named storm to add to the mix? ☔❄️

They think it's all over....it is now!

Rain for the Wirral followed by rain showers, then heavy rain, drizzle, fine rain, a dry spell, heavy sn....... lol as if, just more marginal rain.

Just as well it was different last year...... oh wait hang on.

1cm or more 3 years and counting, I may as well live in Cornwall.

Maybe there'll be snow at Christmas...

Some heavy rain coming down here. Feels cold, but it’s around 4-5C. I honestly can’t see much in the way of snow next week, probably just some transient stuff. Temps 5-7C during the day times. I fail to see where the excitement is coming from? Setting up for disappointment there.

What a vile day although there’s hopefully signs of a bit of a clearance reaching here shortly.

hope so as I need to nip to the supermarket and I don’t even fancy the trip to and from the car in this weather.

A thoroughly wet afternoon here, temp sat at 5/6C and heavy rain. A few quite potent gusts of wind within the past hour too.

Yeah there's a chance of flooding again like a couple of years back, Morrison's etc flooded. Definitely happening more.
