Yes Odd.

All those Pinks I'd thought you be sledging.

It's plain odd. Should have had an hour of precipitation by now.

It’s way colder than forecast but I can’t see any low level snow tonight unfortunately.

Virga ongoing here. I think it’s quite common at the leading edge of warm fronts.

Ignore last comment, just looked outside, we have something white falling from the sky.. only light, but it is definately a wintry mix of something... let's see what happens.

Had to travel down to Derby via Buxton and Ashbourne.  The pavements had evidence of snow or graupel having fallen very recently.

Nervously watching radar as I'm driving into whats coming and at altitude.

Precipitation that evaporates before it reaches the ground; in this case because of relatively dry and cold air below.

It is a bit sleety actually. If it gets heavier it may turn although warm inversion aloft will quickly be coming in. Precip is ahead of schedule though so who knows.

Snow is very wet but has become more moderate and is beginning to settle on grassy surfaces and cold surfaces, feel a late walk is in order.. but not expecting it to last long, still its nice to see.

Hope you have good journey back… looks light whatever falls… we shall see… but will fall as rain through the night so wet morning anticipated rather than white

This weekend is interesting me. Not a particularly cold air mass but the parameters favours decent rates of evap cooling as does the setup favour pivotting. Need to watch the system on output, even for lower levels. Other than during this period there could be a few slow streamers from the Tan Hill down towards Buxton, so although uppers will be -4.5, there could be snow down to 250metres locally where the streamers stall.
