It’s looking more likely than us getting anything from Monday’s front.

I spent the day at Worcester yesterday and was pleasantly surprised, with the expected showery rain holding off during the Victoria Market until we were ready to come home. The journey back was another matter with rain and unexpectedly high winds making the M6 quite frightening around Junction 15 for Stoke. I woke this morning expecting something better than last night, as forecast, and what did I find? More rain of course. If this is the better day of the weekend, again as forecast, I don't know what yesterday could have been like in this part of S Cheshire!

St Annes? - T-Shirt weather.

Like you say - whether you get there is another matter.

Oh and I thought today was supposed to be the ‘better’ day of the weekend Never mind good day to stay indoors and get the Xmas Decs up ✨☔️

A trend colder this morning on the GFS - Tuesday/ Friday look interesting on this mornings GFS too ❄️ but it could easily just become a cold rain & gusty wind event so feet firmly on the ground given how volatile model output is at the moment I just hope we can get a cold seasonal Christmas

Tomorrow not looking so good anymore. Just slightly too marginal I think.

Tuesday looking very interesting though but not going to call anything until Monday night. Reliable seems to be 24 hours and I don’t want to get burnt again.

Should be a nice afternoon across the region as pressure rises. Anyone who gets an air frost tonight has a better chance of seeing something wintry tomorrow even if it is just ice pellets.

If there is snow in the hills I can just head up to see my friends in Edenfield, they live pretty much at the top of the valley, though if there is snow there it's a long walk from the main road up their drive to the house as even their 4X4 pickup (with winter tyres on it) can struggle to get to the house (sometimes it can't!).

To be fair, the risk of low level snow is never that far away in the short to medium term in this setup, with temps remaining generally below average. It's impossible to be sure 2-3 days away at the moment, let alone 2 weeks! Last Sunday showed this.

Practically all the models going for a high ground event tomorrow and has probably lifted the height of seeing snow to 250m+. Cold rain lower than this. Maybe a better chance on Tuesday for lower levels.

Not the best of days but after yesterdays deluge, it’s a massive improvement and looking at the forecast, probably a damn site better than what’s coming in the next week or so.
