Heating been on on short bursts about 4 times today

Probably more efficient to just leave it on longer rather than keep turning it on and off.

It's set to 21 so comes on if it drops below that

Ours is on a thermostat too. Set to around 18/19°C from 3-9 pm and first thing in the morning and off at night.

To be honest not even close to having heating on of any kind, still in t shirt and shorts so be a bit pointless really!

What temp is it in your house?

Recently moved into a brand new eco friendly house... all sorts of energy saving stuff going on.. the builders left the heating on at 28c so was like a furnace on the day we moved in.. turned it straight off (took a meter reading and sent it to builders to sort out) that was 8 days ago.. the house has dropped to 21c and stayed there we have opened windows and doors to let air flow but as soon as they are closed the house warms up.. the heating has not been on once in 8 days...

Upstairs between 12c and 13c, which i find perfect, down is 16c which is more than enough for me.

Still not popped the heating on yet, this really is unprecedented to get into November in this state of affairs. Currently still at about 18C in the north facing lounge.

No heating on here, Mark... My mini oven and slow cooker keep me warm enough!😁

We did a quick 30 minute test and put it in for 30 mins at 16c. Cost was nearly £1.

We've no cavity wall insulation and front windows aren't double glazed. Going to be very expensive if it gets cold. So far we've not had it on, temperature has been as low as 15c.

Its off and on. Despite the very mild days and nights, there is no natural heat from the air or sun now to warm things up. Without it, temp drops quickly to 14-15 which is too cold. This will stay the case until April now.

Switched heating off a few days ago as ridiculously mild, had it on for 1 hour yesterday to dry washing and also help dry the house as I had quite a few drips appearing on Wednesday through till Friday PM. All dried off nicely now, have lit small fire in sitting room as it's really all I need right now. Looks like it'll be back on next week as the temps start to drop again.

I've bought myself one of those plug-in gadgets (for all of £15 in B&M) and it works a treat... Better and cheaper than having all the radiators on!

What is this mystical gadget you talk of, it's not one of the rings of power is it?

Still haven't felt the need yet, which is unusual. Normally would have had it on quite often by now.

Has anyone dusted off their snow shoes yet?

Steady on, i doubt we will be dusting off the radar for another 4 weeks, lets get to that stage first, before that even the short range Ppn type models need dusting on, it usually goes boobs up before that stage.
