Very grey, wee bit windy, looks like it's goin to do something any minute but the early frost melted so it will be rain. Fabby.

A horrible day of cold rain with sleet mixed in. It was actually white with big fluffy flakes when I went to bed last night.

Hopefully see some snow here when tonight’s showers rattle in, but only a one day event if I do.

Pishy sleety stuff here in Stonehaven since about 9.30 this morning, but was a dryish journey to the office, the roads on Banchory side of the hill being driest.  According to the weather station closest to my office, it’s currently 3.2c and considerably more wet stuff has fallen than in my back garden at home.

Wet sleety cold rain. And to think my 19th air frost last night was the coldest of the season so far at -4.4°C.

Raining, possibly sleety rain, definitely wet.

Edit Mr Snowidea thinks definitely rain (no sleet) and we've been eased out of the yellow weather warning for snow though as we live up the hill and on the edge of town, not giving up all hope.

Was just plain old rain here in the end think we in the "brief" mild air before we get into the "brief" cold air again

Some pretty beefy showers coming in now with hail mixed in which is the first sign that the colder air is beginning to dig in..

Surprised I didn't even have to scrape the car this morning, especially as the temp was slightly below freezing up until 7am, with a brief low of -1.8C. Remnants of snow still surviving in the garden and on parts of the driveway, with the surrounding hills retaining a white coating above 250m or thereabouts.

It is awful out there! Cold rain, windy, freezing but the temp is at least on the way down!

Howling bitter wind this morning ushered in fluffy snow then wet snow/sleet before more general light rain showers later in the afternoon, snow cover still holding up and may get a top up tonight if the showers make it over the hills to the west. Not best of pictures but sunrise over Inverness on early morning trip with mad hound to the vet referral clinic.
