Reached 31.8°C here today so slightly higher than yesterday and just 0.2°C below my record for here. Still warm now, although pleasant if you're outside. 21.1°C

Has that station got it's own microclimate?  

All other stations near it are showing 19-21°C. Of course if it's right then maybe we should all go there as it might actually be cool enough to sleep.

Crikey. You've had some very high temps both daytime and nighttime. It was 18°C here at midnight and a low of 13.9°C.

Warm night and hard to sleep, but it allowed us to stay up a bit to see the Perseids. Saw just 4 meteors in about an hour, which was disappointing - but better than nothing.

Morning All, well here we go AGAIN, after a warm night with the low of 15.4°C at: 05:02, currently 28.3°C, RH48 %, with light air movement of 3mpoh from the E.

From Above looks like some patchy cloud in the western end of the area

Down on the beach, fairly busy start.

Winchester has its own microclimate! I left all the doors open and when I came down at midnight it had dropped to a nice 22 in the living room. Felt freezing lol. But I slept fine on the sofa!

So last night got down to 13.2c and is now up at 29c

The slight air movement is turning in from the channel, as temperature rise is now slowing again, it may struggle to meet the peak of yesterday as it's currently 31.6°C. Now the beach is busy

Rarely. Colder temps are harder to achieve in this area.

Very warm night despite open windows and sleeping in the North facing room. 

No idea of temperature,  but the crystal blue sky seems a tad hazy to me . 

Going swimming in an hour at local pool .

Breeze intermittent,  SE direction.

Southampton Airport METAR is currently joint 2nd. in the list (with a lot of other airports) at 33°C - its highest reported temperature of the week.

Here we hit a heady 33.2 at 11:37 and I thought a new station record was on... but grrr that pesky sea breeze capped it.and it 's been 31-32 since then.

I see a scattered line of small cumulus to my north, over the South Downs I think - now that's a novelty after the last few days!

Definitely high cloud bringing a milky look to the sky, and feeling sticky ( no idea of humidity I'm afraid) .

Had a good swim though the pool at first felt v cool ! But soon warmed up . 

I thought that change was not until Monday night at the earliest . Ah well the weather will do what it wants as usual .

Bristol has recorded 35.1 in Filton a few minutes ago. May be unofficial, but surely the Bristol record goes today.

Apparently I spite of the cloud it's 32C on a local weather station near my house . Not sure I believe it.  

There are some tasty looking showers just off of the north west coast of France and I think heading towards Ireland .

The times they are a changing. Today, I spotted not one but multiple lesser spotted clouds over our area. Amazing, they seem to have migrated back to the South Coast again.

Not accurate i know, but my phone is showing 35c now; just a few mins from Filton.

I think the official Meto station for this area is up at Almondsbury, a couple of miles from here.
