Back in Hadfield now and I can see the tops of the Preston and Liverpool storms.

Sat outside a shop at Crown point in Denton waiting for my better half and her sister and I'm cooking with the sun beating down. As I look west I can see the storms in the far distance...some towering cumulonimbus clouds.

Going dark looking SW'wards where the Congleton cell is developing, it'll likely miss here by a few miles but it's a good early sign.

Might track west of me or curve for a direct  hit.

Took a quick drive to the top end of Disley in the hope of seeing a few lightning strikes but typically the cell decided to die-off just as I found a place to park, but as soon as I got back home the showers have decided to re-gather around Buxton so there's still some hope.

A couple of torrential showers here and some nice cloudscapes, but no lightning or thunder.

There must be a storm-shield up in the High Peak today with plenty of thundery showers around but aside from a few audible rumbles it's been a bit of a quiet day, on the positive side at least the garden doesn't need watering.
