Does anyone know if the snow will get heavier thats coming up from France? Its been snowing in Bexleyheath for a good hour, but the flakes are so fine, and its not particulary heavy either.

Yes its looking more sustained and strength to it.

Snowing once again here as well, fairly decent sized flakes as well from the pre-frontal band that has formed this morning. Still not sure the main front will make it this far west but will have to wait and see...

Paul, maybe the warm sector is a little further to the west then the models were prediciting which would man the whole system is a touch further west then was progged, will have to wait and see.

I don't understand this sleet/rain business, as opposed to more snow.

For my (CB8) locale, according to NW Extra, my dewpoint's still 0° C, upper 850 hPa's are –10° C and the temperature's -0.4° C. It's showing as pink on the radar. How could it be sleet?

I think this is the last shower comming from the east, after this we might get a lull for an hour or 2 before the front from France moves up!

ok heres the deal - i give you update and current pic as requested - you tell me its going to stay cold for this pms precipitation to fall as snow....

car reads at 1 degree at present. 2 cm fallen from todays

Folks this is what you need to worry about, if the dew point rises above 0c then unfortunately the snow will begin to thaw.
