i doubt if we even get an inch, will be very lucky. andy what you say?

No it's still on course for a severe event for the Midlands, when I say severe I mean 2-5 inches possible by daylight. The heaviest of the band of snow is about 40 miles south of where the radar is showing it. It's not just stalled and fizzled out and not going to turn up.. It's just going to arrive a bit later than the radars show it, so probably heavy snow into Birmingham within the next half an hour.

snow falling heavily in oxford, probably 2 inches on the ground now, and a heavy band on the veryge of reaching us, moving very slowly. Good for now. Hoping it will all fall before daybreak, or else for a miracle, whereby we get snow all day...

Sorry to hear it's not going too well for you guys. It really is chucking it down here so if/when yo get it you shouldn't be dissapointed.

Was going to bed but girl friend got up and we just took some pics outside

Still chucking it down here

If its snow and settling North London

My 55 miles trip to swindon tomorrow looks doubtful
