Amazing! No rain here and the sun is beginning to come out again yet north and south and west of me have had rain AND thunder. Let's hope the next line of cbs out to the west can produce something.

Next line?

Yeah looks like the first round is to far north for us, hopefully this new lot coming up will get going.

Did you get much yesterday? I got one rumble.

Im no expert but think the cell that passed over me is back building (i think thats what its called) as its getting darker from the west again, and the rumbles of thunder are getting louder...

No - in fact yesterday was a nice day here all day with plenty of sunshine though I did hear one distant boom of thunder in the evening from the storms inland.

Looking at the radar, the most torrential downpours at the moment are around the W and SW Midlands areas!

Some beefy downpours running through Kesurex at the moment. Otherwise, I can't see me witnessing any more than a moderate/heavy downpour here, unless more develop through the early afternoon period. :D

Clearing up to the west now. I can see some bright white high clouds, but mainly blue sky that way now.

Lets hope something else comes this way, we were right on the edge of it .

2nd torrential downpour of the day, and looking at the radar, stuff is still building up over the Welsh Mountains so could be in for a few more hours of this sort of thing....

:):D !

everything crossed here then :)

Only need a further 0.2mm to make it the 2nd wettest day of the year! :D

It seems to have been a bit of a one bang wonder [here anyway],should get your 0.2 mm out of it though :)

As BF said in the technical discussion thread, this could well be the trough to watch!

Already a very pronounced line of quite heavy/thundery downpours - will be interesting to see if the sun gets out, and with potential surface heating, how it interacts with the forecast CAPE!
