OMG SNOW FALLING SO HEAVY HERE! JUST LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW A GOOD 5cm on the GROUND! OUTSIDE TEMPS -3 and drifitng occuring in this strong wind!!! Showers now piling in....

SNOW-MAN2006 wakes up.... dreaming again eh?

You will most likely be disappointed. On the other hand, if you do the same on Friday morning you might not be.

are you sure mate them showers are quite widly shown on the gfs are snow and there looks to be quite a lot of them! :yahoo:

At the moment temps are shooting down dropped 1C in 20mins! :clap:

deffo with you on this one, the temp here is falling much colder than it was last night at the same time. :clap:

Yes a lot of showers but they'll be pretty sleety at lower levels, more snow as the day progresses but at 6am I doubt there will be any lying. Not worth waking up early for.

850mb temp are around -3/-4c across the NE at present. By the morning they should be down to -9C. That's some drop.

just checked outside and guess what, cloud cover with sleet but the sleet seems more like wet snow falling now, is it starting to turn to the reel thing ha ha.

how come gfs says snow and how come temp is nosediving along with the dew point and i can see were your coming from but that is been a bit cautionary but time will tell :) and tucco what do you think of my chances? :)

Shrs will be of snow with 850mb of -10C on Thursday. I wouldn't be surprised if you have dusting of snow in the morning. Whether it lasts and how much will fall is tougher. N Sea is beig thermal store at presnt but the air is cold. Snow shrs with melting inbetween is my best bet.

No melting please id take to wake upto 1cm covering and then it getting topped up to around 3-4cm by later in the day and then the really heavier ones pack in! :yahoo:

Sleet already been reported and if its sleeting now in the morning it will be snow as temps and dew point will be much lower so here we guys and gals the fun starts here! :yahoo::)

its now pouring down with rain again, sleet mixed in, deffo getting colder though, very wet, I'll be very very surprised to wake up with any covering in the morning, roll on tomorow.

Down to 1.7C now. Shrs should be snow from now on.

Should be chilly in the morning -3C in a fresh Easterly.

6am in the morning that chart is from the latest gfs run and people saying sleet look at it its screaming at me snow! :drinks:

wwwwwwooooooo - well the rain has stopped and guess what its left - its now left behind very light snow, is it on it ways, must be surely. :cold:
