I drive up there, but like your scenario it will be my parents taking me and they aren't confident about the roads in the area at the moment - gawd knows how we are going to get out the housing estate lol. No buses are running either, I have too much stuff to take on the train, which themselves are severely limited and jam-packed when they do arrive.

I suspect I may travel up on Monday instead, when everything has calmed down a bit. Hopefully the worst will be over by then. In some ways I prefer to stay in Kent for a couple more days, get to see tomorrow night's snow better than in Norfolk judging by the forecasts. 7cm at UEA, 16cm in my garden at the moment

True then when this lot reloads maybe you will be in the sweet area like last year lol and you will be sick of it by then. :whistling:

Thanks for the reply neil. :wallbash:

hmm this thread is looking quite "regional" now - no south Londoners posting ;) - this doesn't bode well, looks like our snow was upgraded and then downgraded yet again. Yet I keep looking here forlornly for a sign that we might get lucky. If I wish hard enough, will it happen - it did for Neilsouth ;)

Moderate snow in Hertford for about 30 minutes, tailing off now.

Roads very icy, have seen no gritters, ended up sideways in the car on Welwyn Road hill for anyone that knows it!

Yes know it well try driving up it in reverse next time lol no, every 1 has to take care and be extremely careful. Think we here will have to wait until tomorrow evening around 10 pm for anything worth posting of, I hope.

Okay Guys have put the question again to the other Mods in the Mod Area asking for a split down of this thread as I have had quite a few Pm's regarding this.

Expect a decision in the hour

Had buckets of snow here again today, 3 periods specifically that were a whiteout, the last of which was an hour ago, lasting for around 30 mins or so. Got absolutely covered in snow from head to toe, poor dog was covered in a thick blanket of the stuff!

Thanks Paul, I think it will be for the best. (No disrespect to the many South Easterners who have made excellent contributions)

This is frustrating watching endless streams of showers pass 2 miles to my east. Wish this wind would veer more east :D
