Can't believe how much snow is passing me by out over the water a few miles away :D

Okay Guys have put the question again to the other Mods in the Mod Area asking for a split down of this thread as I have had quite a few Pm's regarding this.

Expect a decision in the hour

Paul S

How are you going to split it? North/South of the Thames? East/West of the Dartford crossing?

dont worry spoke to the regular roadsweeper outside work today local council have put all gritting teams on overtime for the weekend they dont do that unless they have a wiff of something

Good stuff, it'll soon be a nowcasting event anyway. the Met Office warning still holds hope for those that want snow: :D

"There is a high risk of severe weather affecting Kent, East Sussex and eastern parts of West Sussex. Outbreaks of snow starting on Saturday afternoon will become heavy and persistent during the evening and last into Sunday morning. 7 to 12 cm of fresh level snow are expected widely with 10 to 20 cm locally. Drifting in the very strong winds will cause even greater accumulations in places. Disruption to transport networks is possible.

It is expected that this Early Warning will be superseded by Flash messages."

Just had a look on weatheronlines weather type for Sunday and Monday and graphics showed nothing about rain/sleet on the coasts apart from Norfolk coast - not sure quite how accurate these graphics are as I thought they were not expecting ppn that far north in East Anglia? Temps in the SE region for that timescale showing 0-1C, not sure about dewpoints.

maybe a kent and london thread?

That will be all Kent and not much London then :D Although a N/S split seems like a plan

Yeah like that - a line cutting off Suffolk/Essex/London/Surrey/Sussex/Kent to make us the real South East and the ones you listed East Anglia

where abouts in kent do you think?

regards chris

It looks most of it'll be just to the west of you, with the north coast getting the worst, but to me it looks like the activity has recently got more intense over the North Sea, so something could flare near you with not much notice.

But then North Essex is in East Anglia and S Essex is in the South East :D

Just Make it an East Anglia and another thread South East , otherwise it could get confusing and that would be the easiest way

Had a little snow in Dover this evening, the road is slippery again, looking at the radar we have more showers heading for us, but looks like the best stuff is still going over neilsouth!

This thread seems to have very few south and south west London and south/south west OF London posters; not sure why or if there is a split that might help?

Have not been on here for a while now but we have got rather large hail in Ashford at the moment. Has anyone else had this?

That was ours earlier , it gave us a whiteout for a bit

Bucks, Beds, Cambs, Herts, Peterborough, Norfolk thread sounds good - we can all pile in there and have a good moan. Having said that, a big blob has finally made it to me without disappearing and given me lovely coating of snow.
