Well, this has to be the slowest thaw in history... the temps around here didn't get above 0.6c today and we still have a lot of lying snow - any thaw seems to be mostly restricted still to roofs, cars and roads atm...

It would be nice to see some more snow to help top up the reserves tomorrow night! If it carries on like this, we may still have some snow after the mild 'blip' at the weekend!

There's still quite a bit of snow around the nether regions of Kent!

It's very quiet on here tonight....... I have noticed that the Met office and BBC have forecast sod all snow for my area tomorrow and Wednesday, so working on the basis that they have cocked up big time in the last week or so.

I better prepare for blizzards, 6 ft drifts, minus 10 and severe gales! :cc_confused:

Any chance this thaw will hurry up?ph34r.gif Pointless inconvenience when all the really cold stuff is long gone.help.gif

yes! Pushing a buggy in the slush (hurt my back so no slinging this week as per my avatar) is so much harder than in proper snow.

The thaw literally stopped here yesterday and we still have a couple of inches (maybe more on the grass) left over from the foot we did get. Sunday was bad though as water was dripping everywhere.

I'm hoping the warm(er) spell doesn't last too long before we hopefully go back to the cold(er) weather :cc_confused:

So....at the very least 1 metre of snow in Croydon, and drifting in blizzards. For the rest of London perhaps 1-3 cms, and maybe a dusting further east. Then again it could just rain/sleet for a few hours.

i think tonight will be very interesting. the line of snow is forecast to always be to the west of London, but i think if the wind drops a bit it may well get more to the east and hit C London

I would expect the first reports of snow in Croydon to come in around lunchtime, snowfall lasting for approximately 17 months, other boroughs of London will of course get nothing :shok:
