Suspect sandi will be almost snow covered by the end of the week and hopefully there will be a few more speckles over scotland by early next week. Also the Alps should see some snow by the weekend.

Morning all!

Well here's today's and there has been some more snow in Scandi' plus, there's been an interestingly southerly fall around the Alabama/Mississippi area.

US South got some snow, but US North East is experiencing temperatures in the 60's fahrenheit!

I guess this would be the right place for this.

I could see Glencoe ski resort being the first to open in Scotland if the weather goes the way it's looking over the next 5-7 days!

Yes the negative anomaly is Scandinavia is definitely beginning to retreat :) More focussed over Eastern Europe, yet there have been some hints from the models that a cold blast may be headed there before not too long, so overall i think things are going well :)

Major cold surge is forecast for the western/central USA soon, so a lot of those anomalies should go. As should the Scandinavian and Alps anomalies.

All in all, good snowcover!

Really..where?..looking at the North American models its pretty much as you are...with above normal temps everywhere below 60 degrees north for the next 7 days

What does the red and lilac pixels mean?

Red pixels are where there there is lacking snow

Lilac pixels mean that they are at average or above in terms of snowfall.

Weather for Scotland.

Showers will turn increasingly wintry during Sunday afternoon and evening across Scotland and will last through Monday. Localised accumulations of around 1-3cm snow are possible to low levels on Sunday night and particularly into Monday morning, with 10cm or more on high ground. Icy stretches are likely to form on untreated surfaces. The public should be aware that this could lead to travel disruption.

Is this the start lol. :smilz38:
