It would be nice to get a fresh covering here to join in with the 8cm of ice/ snow still on the ground here...

Show off lol

You live in the wrong place! ;)

Ye that's nuts. 8cm!!! I live near Guildford which is what 10-15 miles at the most. We got a few cm's from Saturday and most of it was gone by Sunday night and all by monday afternoon.

Bizarre what a few miles makes.

Stop putting words in my mouth Coast lol

What, WHAT?????? :unknw:

TBH we might as well get on to gazing out of the window now, as there is obviously some snow coming for some, maybe many - we just can't be specific who will get what until the stuff falls out of the sky and right on yer 'ed!!!!

Latest weather BBC weather forecast - central southern England and SW snow on Friday. London Eastwards will stay dry :-(

Such a shame - with all this cold air in place I for one would of wanted another snow event!

Last Saturday was good but with one snow event of the year it's not enough.

Living in south Herts I usually see more snow days then we have seen this year - be it in form of wintry showers - flurrys etc.

Been under some remarkably cold air with amazing uppers but only one snow day :-(

Even the Balkans and northern Italy look set to get another dumping tomorrow!

But St Albans is to the west of London as am I, I am expecting a dusting at least maybe 2-4cm.

I wonder if it is going the other way - west and southwest ? :-)

Continental feed and areas to the west of us get the highest chance of snowfall - how ironic... Lol

I guess we did ok at the weekend in this region so shouldn't harper on too much :-)

I have some colleagues who live in Guildford and they are amazed by the difference!

Still a yellow alert for snow in London and SE on MetOffice, I dont understand though as their yellow belt doesnt reach that far East.

Because the Met Office include Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire in the London & SE region for some reason.

Exactly, the list of regions only usually includes those in the belt of the warning, yet east of england on the list?Glad you pointed that out.

Lucky you! Sadly we missed out here again... (for about 3 hours!)

Still, some more extensive cold today rather than just restricted to the far east (not china)
