I have snow, hence no need to warn me of some more is going to be the positive attitude I take looking at current warnings on met office site.

Exactly, the list of regions only usually includes those in the belt of the warning, yet east of england on the list?Glad you pointed that out.

It would be there on Meto because the WEST of your Region is looking like it will get Snow, The same for London & SE the West of our Region also is at risk hence wht Eastern and South Eastern is listed.

Well the latest NAE suggests perhaps a dusting (up to 2cm) for ALL of us. Better than nothing I suppose!

Sweet spot I'm going for is somewhere along the M1 & M40 corridor. North of Oxford.

Nmm has it further east which would put us in the firing line again. All to play for.

That's what I was saying earlier - we have a continental air mass and yet areas to the west of us get the snow... Lol

Been snowing all day but very light flurries, felt really cold without the sun, snow last week-end for NE and E parts of the SE, possibly NW W parts of the SE this friday, when is the south coast going to join in, hopefully soon.

Nah

Although meto been very good all winter with f/casts and snow being v hard to forecast it will sink away westwards rather easily, the cold air mass it comes up against wont allow it to nudge to much to the east

Well I definitely wouldn't class Oxfordshire as London & the SE. Buckinghamshire is a bit more of a grey area!

I'd put Oxfordshire in the midlands section - in terms of weather. Especially north Oxfordshire.

Any chance you could post the images to that model which show this?

It is tricky - I never know where I should post so I end up floating between here, central south and 3 counties. Feel a bit homeless really! :D

Unless there's a dramatic shift east overnight. Looks like we will have to sit tomorrow nights event out chaps and chapesses.

Good luck to those in the more Northern & Western parts of our region.

Not sure he would be able to post it because its a NW Extra model run but yes it does show things around 20-30 miles further east than the NAE, giving around 3-5mm precip (roughly equiv. to 3-5cms) to a much wider swathe of London/EA with 1-3mm south and east of london

Anyone able to suggest how well the NMM handled the last event?

Am I right in thinking that the spoiler for us (Re; Tomorrow nights snow) is the disturbance running out of the Baltic, through Poland and Germany? Which is helping nudge the Scandi HP a bit closer to us, thus knocking the PPN back WSW?

Worth keeping an eye on that to see if this tracks a bit further East... We can but hope.
